We will get to the wines in a sec, but first, in honour to our all Aussie Line-up, please enjoy the cutest gif in the world…
Pimpernel Grouch 2015
Once Yarra Valley’s best-kept secret, Pimpernel has now become one of the region’s must-try cellar door. Their flagship, The Grouch, is a Syrah reminiscent of the best Northern Rhone reds. A deep, brooding wine with intensely concentrated dark fruit, minerality and herbal complexity.
Bowen Chardonnay 2018
New vintage of Bowen Estate Chardonnay; out of their lone hectare. Excellent example of a truly modern Aussie Chard. It is delicate yet lively! Both French oak treatment and lees contact provides some great texture and mouthfeel. Delicious
Gilbert Rose 2018
An NSW Rose given the proper treatment. Sangiovese & co. provide a dry rose with savouriness yet hints of strawberry. Worth mentioning the silky texture from an extended lees contact. We are all about texture!
Unico Zelo Harvest Merlot 2018
Medium body, soft, juicy and lush. Merlot often gets forgotten amongst the more muscular Shiraz and the trendy Pinot Noir, but this is a wonderful example of what the varietal can achieve.
Slurp away.
Portsea Estate Back Beach Pinot Noir 2018
Another great value offering for all our cult followers of Mornington Pinot. Delicate and interesting, with the typical dark berry and rose petal characteristics.
Main & Cherry Shiraz 2016
Silky, tasteful and very moorish, this is a stunning example of what the Hills have to offer. Our advice : don’t open with too many friends. (or get two bottles)
